J-Lo was the mentor this week, and the theme was Latin music, or music with a Latin edge. Out of all the weeks, I think the singers this time around were the worst I had heard EXCEPT for Sanjaya, surprisingly. Sanjaya was last, and actually did pretty good. His entire song was in Spanish, or at least 90 percent of it was. He looked normal, and actually kind of cute tonight too. But don't worry, I still didn't vote for him. Simon said "I'm going to hate myself for this, but it actually wasn't horrible tonight!" talking about Sanjaya. The other performers gave pretty mediocre performances.

Latin was not a good choice for the idols. My favs were Jordan, Blake and Melinda. Of course Simon commented on Haley's body and believe it or not they thought Sanjaya did a decent job.

It was a bad night with no stellar perfomances.
The favorites Melinda and Lakisha went first and were easily forgotten.
Chris was no better.
Haley came out in hot pants and started to heat things up
Phil tried to sing his way forward but it was Blake who hit the mark with the audience
Jordin did okay but she was off key
And Sanjaya went last and messed up a spanish number but in spanish it did not sound as bad to english speaking listeners.

Blake sang marc anthony i need to know and he was told by simon that he was best performance of the night melinda got what i think was her first bad comment from of course simon he just wasnt feeling her tonight chris did well he sang rob thomas smooth song he was pretty good the judges all liked him lakisha althou if you ask me her dress was way to tight randy liked her paula and simon just thought she was ok haley got the usual bad comments from all no one liked phil
