The 1914-dated US Lincoln cents(Wheat Ear reverse design) have mintages of 75,238,432(Philadelphia Mint without any alphabet under the date), 1,193,000(Denver Mint with "D") and 4,137,000(S.Francisco Mint with "S"). The mintage figures play an important role in determining the coin's value, and according to my latest May 2007 month coin magazine, a 1914 cent is priced at $0.60 to $1 in very worn condition and about $2.50 to $5.50 in average circulated condition. A 1914-D cent is a semi-key date of the Lincoln Wheat cent series, and it's retail priced at $175 to $250 even in very worn condition, to about $350 to $450 in average circulated. The 1914-S is also scarce, with a price of $14 to $17 in worn condition, up to $20 to $35 in average circulated.
