WellI can only speak from experience. I have been married over 10 years. I love my husband dearly. We have ad quite a few mistakes but our biggest problem in communication. All these years you would think we would have it by now. We still dont! Ilove him so much it hurts some times. I want so much for it to work. When it is great, its beautiful. When its bad its a mess.
Bottom line it takes two to make it work and it takes two to understand each others feellings and try and keep each other happy. people tend to think when they get married the fun is over. The spice is over. That is not true. People can truely be happy in a marriage if they dont batter ones feeling heart and emotions. Once you stop thinking about those things with your marriage it wll never work. Always try and be true to each other, Never do what you would not want to be done to you...Good luck
To determine the percentage is impossible because every1 tries to paint a pretty picture, lol even me.

My husband and I are very happy in our marriage, been together for 8 years and married for almost 2 years, so far so good, I don't know what the percentage of happy marriages are out of 100 couples. But I would say that the majority of the ones who don't have happy marriages are the couples who weren't happy in their relationship before they married.

To be happy you have to be willing to compromise. Is my marriage everything I'd like it to be?....No. But I've been married to this woman for 26 years and she's forgiven some pretty bone head moves on my part. I think I'm lucky to have her.

I can't speak for others but I am. We have our bumpy patches but come through more in love. It's a two man job if there's not two putting in 110% all the time, it wont work.

I'm happy overall. Of course it isn't peaches and cream every day...we have our moments but all in all, I'm very happy.
