For the name of a character in my novel who was as a teenager, shy and smart, but grows up to become cynical and beautiful in a tired sort of way. She is a receptionist at an office, and has a southern accent.
Suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Sorry, I don't like those names. Unless you live in the South and your daughter will send her entire life there I don't think she's going to like having those names.
Of course, it's your baby and your choice. Just being honest since you asked.

I read your question before I read the rest of what you wrote and I thought it was a perfect southern name. But, now that I've read the whole thing it sounds like a good character for your book.

I dont like suzie mae, sounds too backwood country. I like the name Nora Claire or even Lillian Sophia

susie mae is fine and suzielynn not so much its spelled wrong and looks stupid.i am from the south my grandmas name was ella mae, my dads mom.my moms mom was johnnie.good luck.
