I need sites that talk about that.

No, they don't. I don't know of any sites that talk about it...it's kind of a duh. If we were supposed to be there, we'd be able to breathe in space. No oxygen = no humans.

When all is said and done, it will be up to whoever's in charge to decide this, and therefore the 'correct' answer is largely arbitrary; however; the way I see it is... over the recent (last 10,000 years) course of human history, human beings have been an overwhelmingly destructive force, not only to other humans in the form of mass genocide, but also to nearly any other living thing that competes with us for resources. I believe it would be an extremely bad idea to propagate our behavior into space.

The only way I would be happy with an outcome that favors human deep-exploration of space, would be if major social and cultural changes took place, otherwise we'd just be contaminating other worlds with our currently-popular belief that anything that should stand in our goals should be exterminated.

Humans definitely belong in space.
There are many people I would like to
see sent to the moon.

One of our important functions as a species,
is to explore. However, space travel will
hinge on new technology, rather that fuel
powered rocket ships.
Such new technology could be the current
effort to pin quarks onto photons. This would
enable us to span galaxies at the speed of
light, which would be a real breakthrough
in space travel.
Who knows. Someday, we might be the
mysterious UFO.

Here is a starting point. NASA talks about this extensively, but some of the biggest problems are:

- Radiation from solar flairs. Earth is protected by it's magnetic fields.
- Source of Water and Oxygen.
- Building a self-sustaining environment (with food).

The following sites should help.

Yes, it will not be long until the population of this earth will warrant the colonization of space and other worlds.
