i saw some guy's blog say that hes thinking if he shud go to prom or not....and hes in first year univ..........but there isn't prom in university is there?

unless he's referring to a high school prom...Colleges/Univeristies generally don't have Proms. There are Homecoming dances (which some colleges have), or mixers....Fraternities/Sororities generally have formal dances as well....but they aren't typically referred to as proms...

In the U.S. I think that there is not typically, but sororities and frats will have "formals"
