No it is not a war. Not anymore. We are not fighting a Nation. We are trying bring some peace to a land in turmoil, after we started the turmoil, but that is beside the present point.

You might be able to call it a Civil War in Iraq, with Sunni's battling Shiite's, Those are the ones doing the majority of the fighting with each other.

Now this is The US, trying to support the infrastructure of the new Iraq government. Supposedly the Iraq government will be able to exert its own authority in the area at some point, and until then, someone has to keep it together, or your going to get another Islamic dictator, or your going to get another Somalia.

Some may argue over whether we are really accomplishing anything. I think in about ten years we will be able to look back and say "that was difficult, but a success" or "that was a mistake and a failure." In the meantime, we won't help the chance for success any with we cripple the New Iraq Government by taking away US support.

War or not look at the past in the middle east and I believe that common since tells us that we're no gonna change in a few year, a decade, or even a century what has been going on for thousands of years. No matter how long we're over there it will go right back to the way it's alway been when we leave. you can't fight religion with a millitary religion is to strong no matter what the faith is.

Yes, it is a Zionist war led by Bush against the American taxpayer, and the Republic of America and its Constitution. Bush is a Jew through and through. Israel is the enemy of not only America but mankind in general. God help us all.

Yes, it's a war, but not a declared war by Congress. The last time Congress declared a war was in 1941

The people there are fighting each other. There will be no peace, no "victory" for the US. We will only have the death of our troops when it is all over. We've been there before and done it all before and for what? At least the troops can come home and be treated as heros for their efforts in this "war".

Then they procede to attack our embassies, the USS COLE, and on and on until they hot the WTC and Bush decides it is time we quit ignoring them. Yes. This is a war.

When good men are being killed in any battle or skirmish and are being shot at from any enemy, yes it is a war. No matter what anyone says otherwise.
