A "liberal" can certainly, include the likes of the following people from History: 1. the "Conservative," Sir Winston Churchill, and: 2., The Certainly "MORE-Liberal, More PROGRESSIVE"{for his Time in HISTORY, as all true Liberals, indeed are such truly EVOLUTIONARY People{and not the Warlike and BLOODY "Revolutionary" "Thinkers," that Man MUST put into our PRIMITIVE PAST, Please "God" AND "The Big Bang"), ... The GREAT, Prusso-German Philosopher, Immanuel Kant(Kant, coming from Prussia, perhaps the most MILITARISTIC Region in all of "Modern" European History, was nonetheless the Most PEACEFULLY-Minded, mature, and truly LIBERAL-Minded Individual that "The West" hath ever produced, as a striving "Liberal," myself, we can see from KANT that one never should judge another human by their "ethnic" and-or Religious "Background[s]," etcetera, these too, are basically "Liberal" tenants, also of DEMOCRACY and TOLERANCE, with the true Enlightment THINKERS[UNLIKE today's "Free" Market, Corporatis$t "Gurus$," War Profiteers$$, today's "Thinkers$," a disgusting, thoroughly ATAVISTIC and Cruel, GREEDY, short-s$ighted lot, in their final, "Summation," let us call it] having been THE prominent inspiration to AMERICA's Founding Patriots.
Therefore, looking at "Liberal" from an "American-centered" perspective, let us call it, well then, TOO, can such "Conservatives" as BARRY GOLDWATER(a truly Tolerant man, good CITIZEN, overall, despite hius well-established, "Bellicosity"! Goldwater was absolutely HEARTBROKEN at JFK's ASSASSINATION{He and JFK HAD Planned, in 1964's Presidential Campaigning, to do a series of updated "Lincoln-Douglas Debates, throughout the nation, in 1964, but TRAGICALLY, JFK's Murder, and LBJ's ascension to power[Both LBJ, and Goldwater, yes, his fellow "Liberal"[again in the larger sense of the term, I.E., in the general, or Historical use of terminology] STOPPED all of that truly "Healthy and LIBERAL DEBATE," that would have occurred between JFK and Goldwater, in 1964. Our nation has NEVER, fully recovered from Nov. 22nd, 1963, and the LOSS of that "Liberal," John Kennedy, in my mere "Peasant Boy's" Opinion.
But the larger point is that even a "Bellicose"{well, perhaps more so in his younger senatorial career, through the early-mid 1960's?] "RightisT," like a Barry Goldwater, or yes a Ronald REAGAN, also{though I have SEVERE, and fearful DOUBTS about CORPORATE "Liberals$" such as both BUS$H Presidencies, GEORGE I and GEORGE II, I must lamentably attest to this} CAN certainly be called a LIBERAL, in really every sense of the term, with perhaps, e.g. their "Fellow Rightist," Overall, TEDDY ROOSEVELT, with his CrackdownS$$, in early 20th Century America, on CORPORATIONS$$ Powers$$, AND His, "Teddy's" Callin' for a "LIVING WAGE" for ALL AMERICANS$, that this would also make T.R. a "PROGRESSIVELY-LIBERAL" American Political leader, AND Public Servant, much in the Tradition, too, of a Teddy KENNEDY[etcetera], thoughout his Senatorial Career, though the ELDER STATESMAN and "Rightist" barry GOLDWATER, in his later years and time in Office, DID also join Kennedy's overall{NOT on every issue, of course, fellow citizens; let us NOT get into such "Talk radio" claptrap, and childish, "One-issue" paradigms herein, 'kay?} Progressive stance on such matters as Gay Rights, that is, Senator GOLDWATER finally realized, that it WAS(as it IS our's TODAY, as well) his mere CITIZEN'S DUTY, to RESPECT the CIVIL RIGHTS of Gay, Fellow AMERICANS{and other Fellow CITIZENS, such as DISABLED Americans{and NOT just Disabled Veterans, our poor lads and now lasses, wounded in War's inherent evils] too, Goldwater spoke out for the RIGHTS of the Disabled, often, in his later years, of truly, his, Goldwater's "ELDER WISDOM") and others, as being HIS ABSOLOUTE DUTY, as a True American CITIZEN, to respect the Human Rights of ALL other Citizens{and fellow human beings], NOT just some "Traditional" "Conservative Pollster's" False "IMAGE," of just WHO that "Traditional American" MUST be!!
