Lots of things.

- Parents didn't give them everytihng they wanted.
- They hate themselves.
- They have no spirituality. They worship man.
- Inability to think logically.
- Inability to think 5 minutes into the future.
- There pissed off at the world and think the world owes them.

Those are the big ones and I am dead serious about all of them!

What is a shame, is that in a VAST majority of the questions and answers I see throughout YA that have anything to do with politics or anything remotely political or controversial, have way too many people from both sides using this as a place to rant, rave and insult the other side. To bad more people can't use this as a chance to behave like adults and have a responsible, calm, rational discussion to debate using facts instead of subjective opinions, stereotypes, lies and name calling.

Funny thing is that so far, in regard to this question, the liberals are been behaving more like adults.

A desire to make life worth living for everyone, not just the richest. A sense of fair play. It is an ideology of fairness more than anything and recognizes that many in positions of power will abuse it. It is not about getting something for nothing, but recognizes that it is in the best interest of all to help others become successful citizens.

IF you knew what Liberals were about, you would be less likely to bash them...You are putting a definition on them that is far from the truth.

LIBERALS
Liberals share a belief in individual rights, free enterprise, representative democracy, and the rule of law. In this sense, almost all Americans accept liberal ideas. So much so that it is easy to forget how revolutionary these ideas were when the American Constitution was written. Thomas Jefferson said, “Peace, commerce, and honest friendship with all nations, entangling alliances with more.” All of our founding fathers considered liberalism a foundation of “the great experiment”. America since Reagan, liberalism has been colored to appear weak and elitest and our military force is used to intervene in other nations affairs.
Think liberal, think BIG.

I think their motto is

"If something must be done, we must form an expensive exploratory committee to examine the most politically feasible means to address the problem & then create a massive bureaucratic program to address the problem while creating a different mess at the same time."

Some motto, heh?

Actually, I believe liberals have a desire for a Utopia but are closer to creating an Orwellian society.

I am more of a libertarian. I want the government out of our pocketbook AND out of our bedrooms.
(& let us eat trans fats if we want to - for crying out loud!)

A liberal believes in the liberal ideology. Trying to brand liberalism as a mental disorder only serves to reinforce the propagandastic caricature of conservatives as goose-stepping, gas-chamber-wielding Fascists.

Grow up, argue ideology on its functional merits rather than childish emotional blathering, or move to Iran.

A "liberal" can certainly, include the likes of the following people from History: 1. the "Conservative," Sir Winston Churchill, and: 2., The Certainly "MORE-Liberal, More PROGRESSIVE"{for his Time in HISTORY, as all true Liberals, indeed are such truly EVOLUTIONARY People{and not the Warlike and BLOODY "Revolutionary" "Thinkers," that Man MUST put into our PRIMITIVE PAST, Please "God" AND "The Big Bang"), ... The GREAT, Prusso-German Philosopher, Immanuel Kant(Kant, coming from Prussia, perhaps the most MILITARISTIC Region in all of "Modern" European History, was nonetheless the Most PEACEFULLY-Minded, mature, and truly LIBERAL-Minded Individual that "The West" hath ever produced, as a striving "Liberal," myself, we can see from KANT that one never should judge another human by their "ethnic" and-or Religious "Background[s]," etcetera, these too, are basically "Liberal" tenants, also of DEMOCRACY and TOLERANCE, with the true Enlightment THINKERS[UNLIKE today's "Free" Market, Corporatis$t "Gurus$," War Profiteers$$, today's "Thinkers$," a disgusting, thoroughly ATAVISTIC and Cruel, GREEDY, short-s$ighted lot, in their final, "Summation," let us call it] having been THE prominent inspiration to AMERICA's Founding Patriots.

Therefore, looking at "Liberal" from an "American-centered" perspective, let us call it, well then, TOO, can such "Conservatives" as BARRY GOLDWATER(a truly Tolerant man, good CITIZEN, overall, despite hius well-established, "Bellicosity"! Goldwater was absolutely HEARTBROKEN at JFK's ASSASSINATION{He and JFK HAD Planned, in 1964's Presidential Campaigning, to do a series of updated "Lincoln-Douglas Debates, throughout the nation, in 1964, but TRAGICALLY, JFK's Murder, and LBJ's ascension to power[Both LBJ, and Goldwater, yes, his fellow "Liberal"[again in the larger sense of the term, I.E., in the general, or Historical use of terminology] STOPPED all of that truly "Healthy and LIBERAL DEBATE," that would have occurred between JFK and Goldwater, in 1964. Our nation has NEVER, fully recovered from Nov. 22nd, 1963, and the LOSS of that "Liberal," John Kennedy, in my mere "Peasant Boy's" Opinion.

But the larger point is that even a "Bellicose"{well, perhaps more so in his younger senatorial career, through the early-mid 1960's?] "RightisT," like a Barry Goldwater, or yes a Ronald REAGAN, also{though I have SEVERE, and fearful DOUBTS about CORPORATE "Liberals$" such as both BUS$H Presidencies, GEORGE I and GEORGE II, I must lamentably attest to this} CAN certainly be called a LIBERAL, in really every sense of the term, with perhaps, e.g. their "Fellow Rightist," Overall, TEDDY ROOSEVELT, with his CrackdownS$$, in early 20th Century America, on CORPORATIONS$$ Powers$$, AND His, "Teddy's" Callin' for a "LIVING WAGE" for ALL AMERICANS$, that this would also make T.R. a "PROGRESSIVELY-LIBERAL" American Political leader, AND Public Servant, much in the Tradition, too, of a Teddy KENNEDY[etcetera], thoughout his Senatorial Career, though the ELDER STATESMAN and "Rightist" barry GOLDWATER, in his later years and time in Office, DID also join Kennedy's overall{NOT on every issue, of course, fellow citizens; let us NOT get into such "Talk radio" claptrap, and childish, "One-issue" paradigms herein, 'kay?} Progressive stance on such matters as Gay Rights, that is, Senator GOLDWATER finally realized, that it WAS(as it IS our's TODAY, as well) his mere CITIZEN'S DUTY, to RESPECT the CIVIL RIGHTS of Gay, Fellow AMERICANS{and other Fellow CITIZENS, such as DISABLED Americans{and NOT just Disabled Veterans, our poor lads and now lasses, wounded in War's inherent evils] too, Goldwater spoke out for the RIGHTS of the Disabled, often, in his later years, of truly, his, Goldwater's "ELDER WISDOM") and others, as being HIS ABSOLOUTE DUTY, as a True American CITIZEN, to respect the Human Rights of ALL other Citizens{and fellow human beings], NOT just some "Traditional" "Conservative Pollster's" False "IMAGE," of just WHO that "Traditional American" MUST be!!

I believe that there is a certain percentage of the population who will at some point in their life be open to this type of influence. For most of them, it is during their rebellious years of college. A bunch of Communist professors tell them that what their parents taught them was a bunch of hooey and that he has enlightened them. They buy the whole thing; hook, line, and sinker. After that point, they never apply critical thinking to what they think they believe and they isolate themselves from people who do think for themselves, so the B.S. is reinforced.
Thus they become the useful idiots of people like Ted Kennedy, Robert Mugabe, Hugo Chavez, and Nancy Pelosi.

You can also ask what came 1st, the chicken or the egg. I believe most liberal children were left wanting for parental supervision and now want the government to be their parent and that is scary if they vote.
