Now would be a great time...you won't feel rushed to 'finish' any little projects you start, because you still have a few months before the baby is born. Also, you should start to get that urge to 'nest' soon. Most women experience that shortly before their child is born. They want the house clean and sanitized before the baby comes home, and they want everything in it's place...including the nursery! I'm 25 weeks pregnant, and already i'm on a kick to start organizing all of baby's things. I'm ready to paint the bedroom and set up her furniture! (By the way, this is my 4th, and i'm still raring to go!) Good luck! You will have plenty of time to get prepared. :)

I would start now. Goodness, I finished setting up everything right after the shower-I was 7 months. I started on the nursery when I was 5 months pregnant. I am 33 weeks and everything is finished down to having the car seat installed in mine and my husbands cars! But I am type A and I have been off of work since Jan. Good luck with getting everything done! Keep in mind that full term is not just 40 weeks...its 37-42!!!

I would just set up the basic stuff first because you wouldn't know if it was a boy or girl, just because you probably got an ultrasound done and the doctors say its a boy [for example] and you went into labor and it was a girl. Then you would have to return all the stuff you bought for that baby boy, doctors arent always right.
Just buy a nice crib, baby bottles, baby food, teddy bears, whatever. Just buy basics, dont buy clothes just yet. Just buy plain old bedding and cleaning materials, like u said and you can decorate it later

it depends on how long u think it will take u to get everything set up . . .if you have to set up new furniture and paint or put up shelves or borders then start as soon as u have all of the supplies but dont wait too long for the simple things such as bedding either because once you are far into your pregnancy you wont feel like doing these things

With my babies I started getting things ready about 6 weeks before my due date. I washed all the clothes, blankets and crib linens then stored them in the drawers and on the shelves wrapped in paper and plastic. Now they have those cool large zip bags which works even better. I didn't make the crib up, but had one set of linens in the crib ready to take out of the wrapping. My husband did that the day I came home with baby before he left for the hospital to pick us up. Good luck and congratulations on the addition to your family.

It's a process, I think. I started preparing for my daughter about 5 months into my pregnancy. Then I got all of the shower gifts and prepared some more. Then I was 8 months pregnant and felt the need to prepare some more. Then I had her and realized I needed to tweek my system. It's a work in progress...and then when you actually HAVE the baby, you realize, "I don't need this...I need more of that." It's not an exact science by any means.

im 12 weeks now and hubby has already painted the nursery.. he is very excited. We have items that were handed down to us by family and they are all set up and ready to go!! We have started to purchase nappies already to save our finances later. You must be getting tired and should get some help in setting things up asap- image your bub comes a few weeks early and your totally unorganised. It is a fun process so enjoy it and good luck with your birth and everything.. i wish i was that far along already..

have been given the necessities approximately 2 months in the past so crib, vehicle seat and stroller yet they are basically there. at present rearranging our mattress room so as that the infant may be in right here at first and could then problem approximately installation the truly nursery after this one is born as that's no longer used for a minimum of 6 months. that's my fourth however so i assume i don't have the comparable exhilaration at getting each thing waiting and that i understand basically how lots will wait till at last after the infant is born.

Wel if you havent gotten that nesting feeling yet then you should start now. Usually you get a feeling and you just start going crazy cleaning the house. It is never too early because you never know you could give birth early.
