wireless mouse is great.

Wireless key board, useless.

keep the mouse wireless, plug the keyboard back in.

Plus, it will just stop working. I already bought 2, and now I just use the wirelessmouse. Uses 1 battery every 2 months.

My keyboard batteries final for a while however the mouse batteries run out each couple of months - continually at a severe 2nd. The on the spot set-up got here with the computer yet i'm going to insist on a usual set up next time. The stupid ingredient is that I continually use the mouse and keyboard collectively as sitting on the computer so as that they don't even would desire to be on the spot. i'm only eating the earth's aspects and dropping money for NO extra benefit. It does not even get rid of wires on my table because of the fact the sensor is puzzling-under pressure out into the mouse and keyboard ports.

It's been my experience that yes, the newer "optical" and "laser" mice eat batteries like crazy. However, I like to hold my mouse right in front of the keyboard with my hand at odd angles sometimes and the cordless freedom is something I'll never give up. Just count your rechargeable blessings.

If you're changing the batteries fairly often you have to weigh the benefits vs. the costs. If you don't like the extra 2 wires going to your tower then get some rechargable batteries for your wireless setup at least.

I prefer wired keyboard and mouse. Recommend using either usb or ps2 connection. I do recommend using ps2 over usb, for the reason that usb ports do break down more often than ps2 ports in my experience.
