I want to know what songs you listen that HAVE to be played loudly and just don't work when quite.

For example:
Kickapoo and Beelzeboss by Tenacious D

I am going to try and answer this question seriously. It is a proven fact that past a certain point on the scale, the louder you play the less you can hear, therefore the first type of music is a noise that you really don't want to hear in detail. My second nomination would be music that relies on distortion to get the right tone and when played live would not create the correct blend of sound without the excess of volume.

Praise You by Fat Boy Slim - the bass needs to be up high about 1/3 of the way through the song. It's cool!

Vanilla Ice,New Kids on the Block & of course you can't go wrong with Macarena!

Actually, I think groups like AC/DC,Aerosmith,Stones & any classic rock.

As for R&B & rap/hip hop: Bone Thugs,Onyx-Slam!,some reggae(Bob Marley for example),a good upbeat R&B track & some great dance songs.

As for country,I can only think of one great song: Friends in low places-Garth Brooks.

And as for rock tracks: Spoonman(Soundgarden),Last Resort-Papa Roach,Teenage Dirtbag-Wheatus,Nickelback+ any good rock song.

And for a great Christian rock song: Shine-Newsboys

I understand what your talking about. Some songs just got to be loud. The cults "she sells sanctuary" is my favourite blast right now. Would love the start of "D"s movie on my phone, my son laughs and laughs.
