My teacher gave us this assignment that is due a month from now. she wants us to use lyrics and analyse them or connect them to your life experiences.
One problem: I have tried Kelly Clarkson 'Breakaway" but that isn't working out!!!!!!!!

ex: similes, hyperbole, metaphors etc

Honey, you're pretty much down to country music.
Try getting a copy of Patsy Cline's "Crazy". The lyrics aren't all that long, and the analysis should be fairly easy. In fact, I think the song actually does the analysis for you.

I Miss You, by Incubus is strange, yet pretty direct. Good song. ^^ Maybe a song by Anna Nalick. OH, try This Week The Trend, by Relient K. That's pretty pop-ish and all about adolescence.
