If you are refering to the adult male-No, it has absolutely no bearing. The only thing that can make that determination would be a marriage and then a child. However, there would have to be some demonstrable links not just marriage. There have been extremely high levels of marriage fraud for "green cards" in this country so some couples find themselves under scrutiny even after the government issues the green card. If there is any suspicion of fraud, the card would be revoked and the US citizen sent to jail. If it were a US resident, they could end up losing their "green card". A child would add an additional solid link but as I said, marriage has to be involved. Giving birth alone will not work. If you were refering to a child, and at least one parent is a citizen of the country such as the US, citizenship is conferred on the child automatically. Hope that helps.

first if you are legal in the states, why not file a petition for him? if the child was born in u.s she/he automatically a u.s citizen. the father OFCOURSE NOT. the child could file for him if your child has reached the right age. like how old 21? but then this all you gotta do. no matter what bush administration did with the immigration stuff.
you can still have a lot of ways to take him here.
first if u are married with him, you could file for him. if not good for you much easier to take him here.

if you ar ento married with a guy. just file a fiance'visa for him and it should take about 6 months it can be less or more but not a year. then get married in the states and file the paper here. in that case he wouldnt have to come to his country of origin and wait until the papers was approved just it would help if you are financially stable too. and if u can prove that u have been together for a period of time. pictures letters phone call would help. and if u are pregnant and he is the father then u can have more reason why u need him to be with you.
as far as i know any illegal immigrants has no way to fix the papers unless they are married with a citizen but still they have to go back to their own country and wait for the visa. they will probably deny the petiton for sure for being illegal, thats why we have this called waiver to prove why u have to be in u.s with your spouse. if you come here legally and got the visa expired it can be fix still.
why dont u go to a lawyer. u dont have to pay first consultation is free. you will be given a period of time to ask. it maybe 1 hours or less. so jot down all your quetions and ask..

Only if you marry him. Or he could wait until the child is an adult and the child could be a sponsor. Even still, he would have to apply from his home country.
