I am a teen with very expensive taste, and recently discovered the online super-warehouse we like to call eBay. I was planning on buying a Mac Mini and a monitor off them, but the bids keep going up! To keep up, I tried to make money with everything from lemonade to a web designer. Nothing worked! I am THINKING that eBay is an easy tool to use to make some money. I understand that I am under 18, but I'm sure my parents would be happy to help me make some extra money. I am just wasting my time, or should I keep going with this? Thanks so much! This is really appreciated.

Actually, that's not a bad idea. Your parents can help you to learn and manage your new eBay business. For doing so, it's only fair that you give to them a percentage of your profits. When you turn 18, or when you can manage the business on your own, then you can take over the business and run it for yourself.

However, I highly recommend that you get the below eBay starter kit. It will truly help you to learn everything that you need to know to be successful with your eBay business, as well as show you how to expand your business beyond what you may have originally intended!

eBay isn't an "easy" tool to make money. It just provides an outlet to do so.

You must have things people want and then your cost in them must be low enough to make a profit. Selling things you already have works okay but trying to buy and resell other items can be more difficult because you must stay competitive.

You cannot legally enter into a binding contract if you are under 18 years of age. One or both of your parents must sign with (for) you. I say, if your parents are willing to go along with you, go for it! It's never too early to become an entrepreneur.
