I just hatched my first set of crickets and it was fairly simple. What I did was....
I had approx. 1500 crickets in a rubbermaid bin that were ready to breed they have to be adults.
I put a plastic sandwich container with sand in with the adults.
Left it in there for about six days.
Took out the sandwich container and put it in a plastic sweater box type container.
Placed that next to the basking light on top of the bearded dragons tank.
Waited about 2 or 3 weeks and I had a few thousand babies within the next week.
Make sure that you have a small water source and some fish flakes in there for when they hatch.
If you have more questions about this email me and I will help you out. I have three adult beardies and 2 babies so I go through a lot of crickets. It will save you a lot of money too. My email is lindseytattoo@yahoo.com.
Oh and I can send pictures of the set up to you if you need. :)

just as you normally house your crickets take a pie pan and fill it with potting soil. crickets need to bury their ovipositor the spear thing at the end of the female in something for them to lay their eggs. put the pie pan in there wait 3-5 days and take it out. put it in another tub it takes about 7-10 days and you will begin seeing crickets hatch in the mean time place another pie pan in with the adults and repeat the process. as you cycle them in and out you will begin to fill your new tub with crickets. as they get older place them with the adults but not too small crickets are cannabals. here is a website that is great but this is the way I do it. as females and males get older they will move slower those are the ones I feed my beardies. I wont go into care since you house them allready. a little hint this is what I do but it is very time consuming. try and catch the males I clip the wings to keep the noise down. another little hint is to take a box of baking soda pour half in a large walmart bag put a towel in it and shake easily. then place the towel over the breathing holes you have in the tub and it will keep the smell down. but when you open the tub though it still stinks. good luck and have fun.

It is really hard to do this. They need a lot of room. They cannot be crammed together or they will pierce each other. They need lots of hiding spots, such as toilet paper rolls, rolled up newspaper or egg cartons. They must be dry and clean! Old dead crickets need to be removed because they give off protein when they die, and the other crickets will eat them and die. Feed them veggies like potatoes and lettuce as well as gut load formula from Fluker's. Open water dishes are death traps, Fluker's also makes a moist yellow nourishment that they wont drown in and will supply them with adequate hydration. Also, buffalo beetle larva are used in reproduction. Sometimes you get these in the bag with your crickets when you buy them. Good luck!

Make an egg wash. Setup a bowl of flour and bread crumbs lighly seasoned.
Take the cricket and dip it in the eggwash then roll it in the flour. Fry in olive oil till crispy.
That is how you bread a cricket.

Put lid on tank and place on top of lizard tank to keep them warm
Within a couple of weeks you will have hundreds of tiny crickets running around in the tank.

If you have a tank for them, and keep moist rocks in it, along w/feeding them, they will reproduce on their own hon. You just have to keep enough of them to do so, and they like the dark. Good luck!
