How to find people to be in a band with me?

I want to find people who are the same level as me-not much better or worse..................... I am an intermediate guitar/bass player

put an ad in your local newspaper/music journal, put up an ad at the local music shops, post an ad online, put up posters at your local clubs, go to concerts/clubs in your area & make it a point to talk to other musicians (because they might know others who are looking to form a band)...
