A listserv is a "group" that your email address would have been signed up to be a part of. It's kinda like an old-school forum where users email things out to a group with similar interests (because that's why they joined the particular listserv) and everyone on the list gets that email.
If you did not sign up for a group, then it may be spam. Contact the listserv admin to be removed.

It is not spam, listserv is a mailing list group server, you are receiving mail from them because you signed up for a mailing list group at some point or another, go to the mailing list group that the listserv mails are coming from and unsubscribe from the group if you don't want them anymore.
