Do a search and check out the symptoms of PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome). See if any of that seems relevant to you. I have PCOS and before I was diagnosed I went for 9 months without a period (I was not pregnant.) One way or the other you really should see your gynecologist. Some women do have irregular periods and that can be normal (for them) but you do need to go get checked out for the cause. There are medications that can help regulate your cycle. It's really not good to go that long without a period. Your uterine lining needs to be cleaned out periodically or you risk developing cancer. (Not trying to scare you but just want you to be aware of that.) They can give you medication to induce bleeding so you won't have to worry about that. If you suspect you are pregnant you can always test with a home pregnancy test. My guess would be that if you are having heavy bleeding that has been persistent for awhile it is likely just that the lining of your uterus has built up so much that it is finally sloughing off. Really is best for you to see your doctor though as they can help you regulate your cycles and give you peace of mind. Good luck!

Uhm I think you should see a GYN.... not having a period for a year is not normal unless you are 60....
If you haven't had a period for year that means you wheren't ovulating. But it's not normal for a healthy young woman Not to have periods.
Starting one now wouldn't mean you are pregnant nor not stopping bleeding is a sign of pregnancy.
It is a sign that something is wrong. It might be something little or it could be something very serious...
GET To THE DOCTOR!!!!!

You should see a doctor. If you aren't comfortable with going to a doctor's office at least see if your area has a planned parenthood with a gynecologist on staff or a clinic that has an exam room.Having unprotected sex is never a good idea. Both my sisters recently discovered that I was right for insisting protection during sexual activity. Each trusted monogamous partners was enough now both have stds. Our families all had mensterural problems now they both have worse. It's not likely you are pregnant but something is happening to your body so please get checked out somewhere.

you're definitely not pregnant if you did not have your period for almost a year now, since if that is the case, you probably have given birth by now, right? But most probably there is something wrong with your repro system so you better go to an OB/Gyn to find what's wrong with you. Bleeding is never a good sign anywhere in your body.

After not getting your period for a couple months you should have seen your gyno. I would get to a Dr. It could be a sign of a miscarriage, or it could be a sign of something else. You can't be diagnosed over the Internet. Only a Dr can tell what's wrong with you.

It just sounds like your period is very irregular, and you should see your doctor to try the pill to help with that. I don't think that it would be possible for you to be pregnant if you've been bleeding for a month. The egg wouldn't be able to attatch to your uterus lining if you're menstrating. I'd definitely see a doctor though.
