on start up or just surfing net it goes to blue screen and i have to shut down and restart and i have only basic operating programs on computer

there are alot of reasons that you could be getting a blue screen. However, just taking a shot in the dark it sounds as if you might have a corrupted file in the Operating system. Like i said though it could be anything. My second thought is that it could be an overheating problem seeing as how you are able to start and run some programs some of the time.

either you have not got enough memory, or your running alot of software in the back ground..... and windows needs to use that memory
