It varies actually. Some women get a big gush and some women have trickles. I wouldn't worry too much about a small spot. It will keep trickling if it is the water. If you are worried call or go into L&D. They have a test that they use to see if it is water or urine.

When you're in water, having a shower or tub you may also now not realize proper whilst your water breaks. But while you get out you're going to. It will hold to leak and spill out til the child comes. You would possibly bleed somewhat bit too, and must suppose contractions approaching. I might now not fear approximately it. You will realize even though it occurs within the bathe you're going to be in a position to inform after. I might now not pass swimming. It would possibly intent an contamination if you're dialating. Doctors normally dont propose that. Also, while you get your membranes stripped do plenty of jogging. Stripping membranes dont constantly paintings. They would possibly must do it once more at a long term appt. If the child isn't in a position the child wont come. But jogging is helping, plenty of jogging. You too can check out raspberry leaf tea. Dont check out castor oil, it dont constantly paintings and it may well make the child have a bowel motion in utero. Good success.

You will certainly know when and if your water breaks. It is possible however, for there to be a leak in the amniotic sac and for you to be leaking amniotic fluid which could lead to infection. If you are still noticing wetness and/or fluid after a little while and its more than normal or usual discharge, then you might want to go in to labor and delivery and have it tested to see if it's amniotic fluid. You can also begin to lose your plug up to a couple of weeks before your water breaks. The plug can be a whitish material or be a little bloody, you'll notice that when you go to the bathroom.

Wet spots on underwear are normal during pregnancy. It is CM (cervical mucus), which becomes more abundant when pregnant. I personally have never had my waters break on their own. When I am in labour at the hospital the doctors have always had to break mine with what looks like a knitting needle as my membranes are very tough. But I know that when my cousins broke, she flooded the floor in K-Mart! (very embarrassing for her I can tell you!)

check with your doctor it's possible that you water could a have broke and you didn't know it you just had a slow leak process maybe when going to the rest room. Get check for the sake of your baby a dry labor is really, not a good feeling and it could cause health problems to your baby

Believe me, you will know when your water breaks.. It will be a gush of water.. Sometimes it feels like your peeing and you can't stop... If your leaking, this is how you will know.. Gross, I know, but do it.. Smell your underwear.. If it has a nasty smell, kinda like chlorine and ammonia, it's your water leaking... If it don't smell like that, it's probably your baby pushing on your bladder and your peeing a little on your underwear without you knowing it... Good luck and congrats on the new baby!!

Trust me you will know the difference. Like the pool around your feet..... But even then don't count on your water breaking before you begin labor. You will probably go into labor first...

It may be just a dribble or it could be a huge gush. There is no way to tell you for sure.
