Lets see corporate good will.... that is like selfless rich people, huh?

We have laws in this country against murder, rape, arson, vandalism, theft and assault because the whole of the populace can not be trusted to self-regulate.

So how can anyone in their right mind ever expect a corporation, or any other organization of people, to self-regulate through a simple expectation of goodwill?

Government regulations on the other hand, are close to useless. The politicians who have been bought and sold by the corporations of the world have already perfected a way to deregulate these laws with the consumer's blessing. First they cut the funding and then they raise the expectations of those enforcing the regulations. After the inevitable "failure" of these programs, the purchased politicians will proclaim that these regulations are useless and then get more votes from the intellectually retarded anti-taxpayers by promising to get rid of those "useless" regulations.

Neither is right. The corruption of this country wont allow the right thing to ever be done.

They are both right. there is no question there has to be government regulation of pollution. Would you want a coal burning plant that had no sulfur emission controls next to your house? It would literally remove the paint from your house and your car. You would be breathing chunks of unburnt coal. Do you trust corporations to "do the right thing" in this situation?

The problem with pollution is that it is a free market anomaly. You can "cheat" the market by polluting. The way to even the playing field is to require those who pollute to pay. That is a free market solution. The only question is how much do you pay for pollution? Doesn't it have to be a sliding scale?

Gee, Kerry has a newly discovered issue he can rant about while his wife promises to reduce her use of her private jet!
Mr. Kerry Heinz will never have credibility.
Corporate good will doesn't exist.
Good will comes from individuals NOT self interested pole reading politicians OR corporations.
Corporations will do something when it is more PROFITABLE to accomplish a goal such as non-polluting energy production or cleaning up messes.
Carbon Credits are a FRAUD. It is a way of rationing and will create black markets plus political power for crooked politicians like Al Gore.
It is up to the individual to figure out the TRUTH and do what they can.
It will best be done when we find out how to make it profitable without government tyranny.

Both are wrong. Both of them needs to be sent together to Iraq, this way , Kerry can fight in a real war and maybe get real medals and Ging can spread his corporate good will, see how long that will fly in a war zone. One way to get rid of them both.
