Do you agree that equal marriage rights should be given to couples of the same sex? It's just a survey, and I'll pick your answer as the best if you would include a good reason for your answer. I'm neutral about this so please tell me your views.

No, I dis-agree...

Marriage = Man + Woman....

If this is allowed, the whole US tax structure & Family Medical Insurance structure would have to change.

Don't agree with it at all. I think marriage is between a man and a woman. I agree that people should be free to love anyone they want to, same sex and all, but I do not agree with the same sex marriage issue. Just my opinion.

I think that equal marriage rights should exist for same sex couples. Right now they are setting up households, raising children, etc,. and when they break up it's a lawsuit anyway - why not call it a divorce? Then they are subject to marriage taxes, changing names and paying for new ssn, driver's license, etc., all the "good stuff" that goes with getting married.
BTW I'm a happily married hetero Catholic girl; I just don't see any reason to discriminate. It's just plain mean.

Well I believe they should be able to get married, cause they're still human, I believe the only reason the government won't let them get married is because of stupid religious believes. (Adam and Eve! Not Adam and Steve!) The whole country was built on christianity beliefs and any other God and Jesus religion out there.
I didn't know superman was a gay basher!
......I also belive marriage is the leading cause of divorce though.....

I do agree because like me many of the gay folks I work with have had long standing relationships. As we get toward retirement age I will be able to access some of my husbands retirement benefits and visa versa. They cannot. They live the same way I do and pay the same taxes to the same country. I just don't get why people are against it.

Agree. You can fall in love with whoever you want, even though its in the bible. To me its the same thing, i dont understand it but most people are just born like that or someone makes them change their mind.Some people might not want it in there church but i think gays can do whatever they want.

yes, because why should a couple be discriminated against just because of their sexual preference???...all people are human, with the same emotions & feelings as the next person, so why must same-sex couples be prevented from legally joining with another person that they truly love???

I think they deserve the right as anyone else! They fall in love just like you and me. It doesnt matter is its 2 males or 2 females! I mean honestly why would someone care who someone else sleeps with!

Defently agree. For some people that say that the church says its inappropriate. They also say god created them and he does know that these people are gay or lez. why would he want some people to be unhappy. Its happiness wouldnt you want it? Its not your life so leave it alone!
