Although, and many have pointed this fact out Windsor is in Canada, It is a suburb of Detroit. The physical boundary of the Detroit River is inconsequential. It would be like saying Grosse Ilse or Belle Isle are not part of Detroit because they are separated by water. The industry present in Windsor are the very similar to Detroit. Further there are many people that live in Windsor that commute to Detroit, or at least the Metro area for work. Again just to reiterate Windsor is a suburb of Detroit.

Windsor, Ontario is not a suburb of Detroit. It is a city in its own right. Seeing as they are in two different countries, it probably will never be. I know it is strange, and this is an ex question, but Canada and The US of A are not together.
They are differnet.

No. Windsor is located directly south of Detroit and is separated from that city by the Detroit River.
The Province of Windsor is Ontario and the county is Essex..

Well, it's right across the river. It's not considered a suburb because it's in another country though.... a suburb of Detroit would be Dearborn, Livonia, Garden City, Westland, Ann Arbor, Dearborn Heights, Grosse Pointe....

Technically, no. It is it's own city, located in another nation. It is no more a suburb of Detroit than San Ysidro CA is a suburb of Tijuana Mexico.
