Bringing it out and talking about only causes more hurt and pain. Furthermore, it only divides blacks and whites more. Whites become cynical and resentful towards black people and makes them not want to interact with them. This little episode has taught me again to keep my distance from black people. Oh, and hire and fire at my company if that says anything.. ( hint: read between the lines ) Comments?

I can assure you that this scandal will most certainly make me think twice before hiring a black candidate. I cannot endure a workplace floored with egg shells. You black folks can thank your leaders Sharpton and Jackson for my pause.

I disagree.

I totally disagree with Imus. Can't stand the man just for how I heard him talk to his wife on air.

AND I totally disagree with the Rev Jackson. And Mr Sharpton. They both are oppertunists to grind in the concept that African Americans are being undermined by white people. When in fact THEY are creating situations that put AA's in a bad light!

This particular situation has not changed my view of black people or made me hate them. I dispise ignorance. Black or White or Latino, or Chinese, or Purple People Eater. Ignorance does not look good on anyone.

I admire reaching beyond to become something. I admire Ophra Winfrey. She came from a disadvantged life, sexually abused, poverty and became educated anyway. Because she didn't want to stay disadvantaged. She did not ask to be put ahead of anyone else to reach where she is today She WORKED at it and made it by her strengths.

I use Ophra as a specific example.

I admire many others of many different races. I don't judge them by a sterotype. I judge on that individuals strengths and accomplishments. Judging by sterotypes is ignorance.

Well, this certainly is your chance to not be so fearful of black people. It will only get worse if you do. Don't hide fromt this issue, be more compassionate towards black people. American needs people like you to stand up for what is right, instead of staying away---and staying away is wrong. Stand up for justice, even if it goes against the popular face.

So you're going to let what some ignorant loud mouth said sway your opinion of black people? That only makes you as ignorant as he is.
