Seriously. You guys I've never heard any of these things before! I visit American Yahoo Answers and you guys man, you take the cake! Really. In the UK people aren't racist like this it's sad to read. But the things you guys discuss I mean whoo! Who would have thought! We left that in a history book 100 years ago! It's like you guys live in the past but yet you're America! It's ironic you know. Well I'm laughing please don't attack me. Laugh more at yourselves. You seem so angry! Okay this is just a paragraph of me discussing the U.S section. Not a question. hmm. Sorry. So I guess I'll ask this one "How's everything in America?"

On your diatribe, I don't think that you are too far from the truth. As nations go, we are young and haven't really found our groove yet. Yeah the US is powerful, but so is a freshman rugby player at Yale with a really rich dad. Yeah the kid might be arrogant and bossy on top of being wildly successful. It's not the kids fault, It's the rich dad's fault. So god job dad.

I see what you mean EVERY DAY! It is sad.
Actually, the anonymity of this format allows people to behave in ways they don't in public.
It would be truly shocking if they did.
I find this fun, but I try to keep it civil.
I must say that the world-wide presence of Great Britain has diminished in in recent years. I cannot imagine Margaret Thacher handling the situation with Iran the way it was.
It is a shame.

Let's see: couldn't hold on to the Americas, so you come to the "American" pages for a sneak attach (and get told to leave again)
Turned Hong Kong back to the communists,
can not stop the fighting in Irland,
have lost or given back most other possessions...
Complain when people use local dilect when speaking English
And still have a since of humer
NO WONDER I LIKED "BENNY HILL" AND "ARE YOU BEING SERVED"
Ya'll come back now hear?

The United States of America is actually GREAT!
Not because of our economic strength, or our military might, but because of the things that you find somewhat comical, Freedom of Speech and Diversity of opinions!
America welcomes everyone, yet everyone is open to criticism! Immigrants are welcomed, then forced to become part of the nation! We relish innovations, but strive to remember the past!
We allow all religions to worship their God in the manner they choose, and are not prohibited from leading our nation IF they can convince a majority that they are capable. Many countries including yours denies this basic tenet of Freedom of Religion AND opportunity to lead your country. (Even in the 21st century! now that is sooo uncivilized!)

The reason racism is so openly discussed in America is because we challenge it.
Classicism based on racial bias is rampant in other countries, but you don't discuss it because you accept it as the fact of life that some people are better than others. It's so ingrained in your society that you can't even recognize it. If you were American you would be one of those heads up your assses ignorant fools who says there is no racism.
As is the American way, we challenge everything and and we revel in our freedom to mouth off about anything we choose.

Well, keeping racism alive is a big business for some people. Others use it as an excuse for their own shortcomings. I'm sure across the pond you have your little sub-culture problem (Muslims). We'll get things worked out here, it will just take a few more generations.

Let's get serious, Belle. I am sure there are an inordinate amount of racialist views on the UK boards and a xenophobic mentality that permeates your society in general(especially against Asians aka Pakis). The BNP ring a bell? Aren't they a mainstream political party that promulgates repatriation of all non-whites from England? It happens everywhere, racism that is. Just embrace it and your heart will be free

Fine, though I am not happy with the war.
Yahoo answers seems to attract the worst of every persuation...most of have have left behind these same things...but you give some people a forum and free speech and this is what you end up with.

America's been classed racially so some of us tend to dwell on it. I think the fact that we're isolated (only Canada and Mexico next door) plays a huge part.
You're right though. These questions are ridiculous.
