I eat mine in order: first I separate them into color groups, then I sort the groups from biggest to smallest, eating only the biggest groups until the number of M&Ms in each group are equal. Then I eat one of each color simultaneously until I have only one of each color left. Then I go in rainbow order with the last ones.
Why? I feel bad for the minority color M&Ms, so I try to give them some more time to survive, but the majority color M&Ms have won the race to the bag, so I figure that they've had their 15 minutes of fame, so I eat them first and give the REAL victory to the minorities.
Maybe people feel the same way with different colors, I always feel bad eating the M&M minis and green M&Ms, because the only girl M&M is green and M&M minis are just too cute to eat.

well.
I know some people that eat brown M&M's for such a weird reason. They have this dillusional belief that just because it's brown like chocolate, the less artificial flavouring or colouring they have in them.
I never really noticed the difference. Although i do have a favourite coloured M&M, Green.
I cannot really explain why this is but I guess the colour attracts my eye that's all.

No idea, makes me think of the (mythical?) story about Van Halen having a rider in their contract that called for large bowls of M&Ms backstage with all the brown ones picked out. If they found any brown ones they'd trash the dressing rooms or refuse to play or some other stupid rockstar trip. I don't know, I never believed it, to be honest.

Because they have something against that certain color, and even though it tastes the same they don't want to put a color in their mouth they don't like. Yeah...that does sound kind of stupid.

For me I'm just picky that way. I mean I personally think I look good in brown clothes but otherwise i don't really care for the color so i don't eat them. But i like the color green so i like green M&ms. it's kind of a pychological thing.

I've heard it's because they freak out over the dye...remember that movie J-Lo was in, the wedding something? And she threw out all the colored ones and only ate the brown because brown is the natural color of chocolate? Retards.

yea... they all taste the same...
My boyfriend had a phobia againsgt anythin green. He loves peanut M&Ms... so for easter this year ( yea... we did grown up baskets :) I picked all the green M&M's and jellybeans out of his basket. It was cute. It's probably, for most people, just a prefrence that we made up when we were little.
like I seperate all the colors.. and eat them in groups. I always have... no reason... just do .

Nope. The color my affect our taste buds because most people prefer light colors over others. Sometimes, they are just nasty.
