I would say "no". Things will work out a lot better without the chip than with it.
We are almost to that point now with SSNs.
The New World Order may creat new numbers for every person in the word....not clear yet.

I would not get the implant. I personally do not believe in that prediction (because I don't take the bible seriously), however if that situation presented itself I would think differently about that particular scripture.
