Im tired of the liberal quagmire into which today's news has descended. I feel like a virgin thats been kidnapped by a religious cult. I want to protect my kids from the liberal media but I dont know how when there seems to be nothing but liberal media shoving itself through my door; nothing but bad news all the time from every direction about killing and war and higher taxes and lawyers that got fired, etc. Where can we find good news? Is there a good-natured Conservative publication or newsletter out there somewhere that offers a more fair perspective on reality?

Why do you call it a "liberal" quagmire? Reality is reality, and depending on the age of your kid, you should use reality to teach them lessons. If you don't agree with something tell them why, discuss it with your kid, ask their thoughts and why they feel that way. Let them be aware that yes Conservative politicians can do bad things too...that is reality. Not some fluff talking about how liberals are all baby-killers and that the Lord works through Conservatives only. The same awesome God is worshipped in the Blue States too, ya know.

Please don't be fooled into dividing America and chopping it up, we all want the same things deep down inside...don't attribute all "bad" news to liberals. Thanks

Why don't you stop living in a fantasy world? Conservatives are the reasons for most of these problems. And bad news happens. It's what the real world is about. You can't protect your children forever. I'm not saying that a four year old should be able to watch violent things, but I don't believe that they should be shunned from the truth.

And are you asking for a conservative fair perspective on reality? Because that's an oxymoron. (By the way, so is a liberal fair perspective on reality. I'm just saying, a fair perspective on reality shows both sides of the story, not just what you want to hear.)

Try Fox News, Forbes magazine, The Washington Times.

If you just want to avoid liberal outlets you can watch any news channel. The only liberal programs are Olbermann and sometimes the Comedy Channel’s Daily Show and Colbert Report. Everything else, with the possible exception of PBS, is corporate owned and corporate-advertiser-dominated news. They do not present or represent liberal views.

Well seeing as you claim that most popular news sources have a "liberal slant", then you obviously are biased already and would accept nothing less than a "conservative slant" in your news viewing. So it's really pointless to put up any actually unbiased sources, since you'd consider them liberal anyway if they didn't specifically preach conservative beliefs.

You want to protect your kids from the liberal media. Why? Don't you think they're intelligent enough to decide whether a news story is credible?

Why do you feel the need to protect yourself from information? If you have any sense or maturity you can read a story from multiple sources to understand what's really going on.

Your intolerance for other points of view is a sign that you haven't developed yourself intellectually. None of my hardcore conservative friends feel threatened by the media; but that's because they are intelligent and mature.

You don't want news, you want something that gives you the view of the world you want to see with nothing that might disagree with that view. That isn't news, that is propaganda. I use several sources for news including but not limited to: 2 local papers, the BBC, several news magazines, several news networks, several online papers, blogs and other net sources and friends who keep me up to date with what they find as well. Some of it I like, some of it I don't but I don't put it through a filter that only gives me the side I like to see.

All news is slanted. Don't kid yourself. I prefer PBS and C-SPAN.

Obviously, you don't care about finding the truth, just the truth as you want it spun. Conservatives are great at spin...you'll want the Fox Opinion Channel for that.
