The Nuggets are really good but don't get all giddy about this win streak. They beat the Lakers twice, the Clippers and Sacramento. That's not saying much (oh my god, I'm a Laker fan and just said beating the Lakers isn't saying much - Damn it). They beat the Mavs and that's a good win. And I won't diminish that win at all.
But realistically, The Nuggets aren't going to beat the Mavs in a 7 game series, or the Suns, or the Spurs. Iverson has adapted extremely well to his spot on the Nugget roster. But I think this team needs to mature a little more. You couldn't see it last night against the Lakers, 'cause they cry SO much everyone else seems really mature...but I see it in Carmelo sometimes, a little immaturity. However, Iverson (and I'm a former Iverson hater) has really brought some leadership, stability, and maturity to this team. I'm really amazed, proud, and surprised by it. I would love to see the Nuggets do well this year, grow and work hard and get 60 wins next year.
I think we've got 4 really mature teams (emphasis on both words) in the NBA. The Spurs, Suns, Pistons, and Mavs. They are really a joy to watch. The Nuggets are right behind them along with Miami, Utah and Houston. Then Cleveland, Chicago, Toronto, and Washington.
So yes I agree, I don't think they'll make the finals but they will go to the second round and push for that semi final (Conference Championship).

It really depends on how well their star players such as Melo, Iverson, Camby and NeNe produce while on the court. Look at the game a few nights ago when they played the Mavs; they came from behind to beat the best and strongest team in the league even with A.I. and Anthony playing with 4 fouls. Three of the four (Anthony, Iverson, NeNe) combined for 61 pts and Camby played a serious cleanup role with grabbing 14 boards.
The big two questions are will they be able to maintain this into the playoffs and secondly can will they be able to generate more bench support. I think in order for them to excel in a 7 game set the bench is going to have to step up big time and add some support. If one the main players has an off night, it's pretty much done for the nuggets

This is a recently made team. The team have yet to jell in terms of team chemistry is concerned. Teams like the Spurs the Mavericks and the Suns, NBA Elite, the core have been there for two to three seasons the guys 'there' knows who and where they would go to in times of need. But just recently, Denver have been able to have quite a run, and let's you feel the future... the future which they become one of the elite teams.

they are not really good. they are barely over 500 with AI and melo and dont give me the "they didnt have time to gel" argument because they did have enough time. the nuggets play horrendous defense and no lead is safe with them. they depend on 2 players too much, what happens if either one has a bad shooting night? then they lose because AI and melo will never stop shooting even when they are cold. the nuggets are an average team and will get killed by the spurs or suns, whoever they face.
