Most very large cities, state capitols and county seats. This is where most of the court action will take place. If you have specialized in some specific field such as corporate law then places like NY and NJ are going to be more attractive.

I would say Los Angeles and the surrounding area has a ton of work for Paralegals.

NYC. The largest firms have offices there and there are also a lot of non-profit legal agencies. There are also greater opportunities for overtime and non-standard shifts (night/weekends). There are also more programs for professional development both within firms and on your own in NYC.
