My husband (ex now thankfully) and I decided we wanted to work on our marriage and he said maybe we needed a week apart. He wanted me to go away on vacation and enjoy some alone time. He called me everyday and it really felt like we were reconnecting. I was almost home and talking to him and he told me how much he missed me and couldn't wait to see me, when I arrived there were red roses on the table. I noticed things looked a little different around the house and I called his name but heard nothing. I got this horrible feeling in my gut, ran upstairs and found that he had taken everything and left me. The pain of that still haunts me, I couldn't even cry it hurt so bad. It's the first time I realized that hearts do break because I felt my heart literally torn apart in that moment. I wouln't wish it on my worst enemy.

i used to drink too much and would black out. the next day my best friend would tell me all the horrible disgusting slutty things i would do. she usually was really mad at me and would put me through the ringer just so i could talk to her again. i saw someone who had a party where i acted very foolish and apologized to them. they had no idea what i was talking about. after asking around i figured out that she lied about everything that i had done over a 10 month period. i never asked why. i never spoke to her again.

I would first have to have your definition of betrayal then work from there. Lying well that's a deliberate effort on the part of one or more persons to distort another person or persons perception of reality. If you mean broken trust as betrayal, then trust is the condition necessary for betrayal. You must take it from there.

A "friend" whom I knew for 17 years told me her parents have been dead the whole time I knew her and her older sister was taking care of her and her brother all this time like that show "Party of Five". It wasn't a betrayal per se, but I felt like she lied to me this whole time.
