It helped me but didnt have a supportive parents, thinkin me on stage of any kind wouldnt actually happen. They paid for it though. Learned alot and it helped. Dont know if they do it any more but once you graduate on a run way, there will be agencies there to ask you questions and set up more interviews and such. Very close to get onto sitcoms as well. Photo shoots for magazines and learn about makeup and more. I went back in 91' and had a few agencies set up but like I said, I didnt have family support. It does cost alot. I forget how much it cost but I do remember it's over 1,000 dollars. It's one of the greatest place to start. Not the best. John Robert Powers is another great school to learn from. Have fun and hope you can go and have a great time!

Nope. Barbizon is a modeling school. When I was in elementary school a girl in my class would go there after school for modeling lessons. Nothing ever came out of it. Any place that is advertising in the back of magazines is just looking for people's money. They're going to accept anyone, no matter their chances for actually succeeding, in order to get your money. Sorry, go to an open casting call some place else and get hooked up with an agency that way. It's a better way to get on the right track.

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Barbizon will not teach you to act. Barbizon is a modeling school. I can't evaluate the quality of it for modeling purposes-I know people who have wasted their money, and I know people who have actually gotten jobs, so tossup. It's a legit school, although it's doubtful that you'll get much work out of it. If you're looking for modeling/spokesmodel/print work, then this is the right field, although again, most people don't get anything from it. If you're looking for an acting school, you should look at nearby youth theaters, taking drama classes, etc. Acting and modeling are TOTALLY different, and although they may be able to book you commercials, they won't give you much in the way of acting skills if you don't have them already.

Barbizon is a SCAM. Barbizon is NOT a good school for anything. They will charge you thousands of dollars for nothing. Never give them money.

If you want to study acting, call the Community College in your city and ask if they have acting classes. If they don't ask them to recommend acting classes or an acting teacher for you.
