Thank you everyone who helped me get this far. But I was sent to http://www.microsoft.com/athome/moredone/wirelesssetup.mspx#step1 and I followed the instructions. Now it says put in a password/username. Where is it? It's not on the box or any of the papers. There are barely any but it's still not there.

You have to set it up first in your wireless router. In your browser type the address of the router, usually it's 192.168.0.1, it should be in your router manual. Then you can set up the wireless access point there, by putting Encryption key.

Well From what I can read, You already know how to access your router (admin, password, etc) right??!!! That link you provided has some basic usernames and passwords to access your router...

While in your router, There "should" be a "Wireless" area.. In this area there will something called SSUID, ESSUID (something with SS and ID in the name.. This is the username of your wireless connection.... With me...

Somewhere in that same are (wireless) there should be an area called (WEP) when you will be prompt for 64/128 password/passphrase......Your password to access your wireless network....

Now if everthing is setup right,,, on your laptop, you should be able to "view wireless connections" and whatever name you called your wireless network should be displayed....doubleclick on it...... you will be prompt for a password put the password/passphrase you inputed on the router... if everthing is set right wellla connected...

Anywho hope this helps..

The username and password are things that YOU create to help prevent fraud. There is usually a sign up link womewhere on the page, and that is where you enter your details. You pick your own username and password, just like the one you use for Yahoo!

This will be the username and password you use to connect to your internet service provider. This is given to you by them, not the routers manufacturer.
