Your made-up "statistic" of 94% is an absolute crock
(and you know it as well as does everyone on this board).
For thoe who are interested in knowing the truth
about the 'African-American' ETHNIC group ---
the advice I will give is to pick up a copy of the book:
"DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE: Fighting Cultural
Misinformation about African-Americans"
(written by Newsweek and Meet the
Press correspondent, 'Ferai Chideya')

There are rallies going on to stop violence but that is not going to be reported in the media everyday ....just because you don't see it does not mean nothing is being done as for Imus he made a very public statement on a radio show that is and can be heard by many ..you have to have some control over your comments in this spectrum had he been in his own private home in his own private world then no it would not mean a thing but he is representing those he work for and also all of those who may or may not listen to him

By focusing on Imus it keeps the focus off them and off being accountable and responsible for their own problems. I'm sick of them. I don't like Imus, never have, I have found him too vulgar and offensive but I am appalled (and I'm a liberal) by this situation and how far it is going. It's just not right. The man apologized, move on. Some Black people have nappy hair. That is a fact and not racist.

my opinion al sharpton and jesse jackson should be trying to get black rappers to change the way black woman are portrayed on rap videos..this morning i heard jesse jackson say that last year there were more black men in jail then freshmen in college..so maybe he should be trying to change that stat.
also why when a black man says something homophobic,as that guy on greys anatomy did he can say "i'm sorry,i have a problem and am going for counseling to help me" end of topic, all is fine then..i know there is a difference between racism and homophobia but words were said that someone took offense to

You don't see it because the national media doesn't blow it up as much. In areas where the bullets fly, there are people who come together to speak out against the violence. Just because you don't see something on TV does not mean it is not happening. In the state where I live, there are always town meetings and gathering to plan how to combat this violence.

correctamondo!! i heard today that the Rutgers women's b-ball team was appalled over the comments. isn't that rather ironic and contradictory? i wonder how many of those black and white players listen to rap music where racial and gender derogatory expressions are 99% of the songs sand by rap artists. where is the outrage over that?? its all bullsh** and makes me even more reluctant to pay any attention to those hypocritical blacks that only want attention and money using peoples emotions for their own gain. THE MORE I SEE THIS CRAP THE MORE I REALIZE THAT IF YOU ARE NOT BLACK THEN YOU BETTER START REALIZING THAT THEIR GOAL IS TO SUBJUGATE YOU INTO OBLIVION!!

The African American leaders are only concerned when a white person "wrongs" them. Plain and simple.

I wish "Rev. Al" karma.
Sooner or later life will catch up to him and something will come out to show the kind of person he really is.
And I don't believe he is a man of God, he insults all God fearing people of any color.
Now to answer the rest of your question,
Bill Cosby is right.

Black "leaders" are no different than white "leaders". No one is outraged unless there's a buck to be made from it.
