Some of the clothing worn by teenagers shouldn't be worn by ANYONE. Some clothes should have been burned before it even made it to store shelves.
1)What is homegirl's reasoning for wearing a skirt so short you can see what kind of if any kind of undergarment she is wearing? Or see-through shirts. Or thongs showing out of the top of your jeans. Now you know you wrong and look wh*rish. Show some class, not your @$$.
2)Young men, pants sagging off the booty does NOT look attractive. It looks trashy. It did back when I was in high school, too. You can still look really sexy and thuggish wearing a belt around your waist.
3)Big girls, I got much love for you, and I am all for loving your curves and rocking them loud-but we cannot be wearing some of the stuff that them skinny girls wear. If the shirt is clinging to your rolls, get the next size or two up. If your rolls are hanging over your jeans, get the next size up. Don't wear mid-rifts or belly shirts---they just don't look good on us! Dress to impress!

Because it makes them all look like hoochies. I mean UGH. A&F came out with thongs for 10 year olds! What kind of 10 year old cares about pantylines and wears a freaking thong? Adults disapprove of some clothes worn by teens today because they care for the kids. Some of those clothes are very wrong...they make girls look like hookers and guys like they're homeless. Imagine if the adults were okay with half this crap. What kind of society would we be living in?

There are really just two reasons I can think of, and there is a fair bit of overlap in these two reasons:

1) Changing styles and social morees sometimes mean that current styles can be viewed as too revealing or something that was unacceptable or inappropriate in previous times.

2) Adults were once teenagers and are now fully aware of just how silly they looked with their teenage fashion choices... in a attempt to spare teenagers today a similar embarrassment with current "styles," they are sometiems understood to be "disapproving."

Well, there are a variety of styles of clothing. I am guessing that you are talking about the clothes that show off a lot of skin.

Remember, everyone has different opinions of style.

Reasons why adults disapprove of some clothes teenagers wear today:

1.) It's too sexual.
2.) No one really wants to see your behind or your breasts.
3.) You can be sexually assaulted/harrassed if you bare too much skin. You are basically asking to be raped (see how that contradicts itself? Ha, ha, ha.)

Some clothes made now are to sexy for teens to wear
Parents don't understand what is cool now or not, even though some of the clothes that were cool then are comingback, and parents think slutty clothes + teen girl = teen pregnancy they may not be worried about daughter but about the guys that are around her.
