Resolving the issue of Iraq. A leader is someone who sees down the road. Someone who opposed the war from the beginning is a good start. Someone who looked at the problem and saw what could possibly happen after we defeated the Iraqi military and removed their president.
Someone who wants to secure our border but also know that deporting all those who are here ilegally costs money and unless we can generate income from them through fines etc. It will cost taxpayers lots of dollars to just send these people away. We need a leader who can see both sides of the issue and bring everyone to a common agreement.
Someone who can focus our military efforts on capturing those responsible for 9/11 and using diplomacy as a weapon to aid in the capture of those terrorists by getting foreign governments on our side again.
Barack Obama brings a different perspective and I believe the only one running who opposed the war from the start. He's not constantly bashing Republicans and has introduced bills in conjunction with other Republican senators.
He's someone who can be well respected by the outside world and he handles himself well. He's on the foreign relations commitee and so this is someone who is well aware about whats also going on outside this country.
Some people might say he's inexperienced, but no one has experience being president until they're elected president. That's why they surround themselves with the best advisors. Being able to work with others and having common sense and good morals makes one a good leader and I'll take a closer look at each canidate as the election process progresses.

Life issues are always the highest priority. If our culture fails to respect the value of each and every human person, then none f the rest of the issues will matter. After life issues, the marriage issue, the war and the environment are the next most important While financial issues matter, they can't supersede the needs of life, sacraments, peace and health for the world. I do believe that if the former issues were handled responsibly, the latter ones would be taken care of as well.

The most important issue is doing as I say. Dammit why in the hell is everyone so damn disagreeable? Tell me why? I set the ticket six f'in months ago with Condi Rice and James Baker for the Republicans, Hillary Clinton and Madeline Albright for the Democrats, and Joe Leiberman and Al Gore as independents. You have to admit that would've been a much stronger election, but no. Everyone wants to be f'in individuals and show that they think for themselves and this is what we're left with. I swear to god I want to leave this country. Ya'll dont know how to put on a show for anything do you?

Cleaning up the mess in Washington, affordable healthcare (not universal healthcare but affordable to everyone), make lobbying illegal, eliminating pork from bills, election reform, reducing the huge deficit, restoring our standing in the world, getting the hell out of Iraq and stepping up efforts to find OBL and alQaeda. Roe v Wade has already been decided so that would be a waste of time. Eliminating the world's dependance on Arab oil. Environmental protection and going green as soon as possible if not sooner.

For any Republican, he would need to try to explain why not one idea his party's leaders have stood for has worked since 1964, even though they had some sensible suggestions a long, long time ago. And why their complainers want their candidates even more pseudo-religious, power-grabbing, fanatical and extremist--even though we need less not more of what they've been doing.
For any Democrats, it's enough to argue that we need to undo everything the Republicans have done since 1964, since not one of their ideas has worked since then. If they can do even better than that, that would be nice; but that's the bottom line--just name what the Republicans are doing ,have done and what it's cost us, and say, "Enough is enough--it's time to put a stop to that insanity."
Let's hear from the candidates on the issues; and nothing else, please.
