I have the same problem.
Some foundations oxidize and change color after I wear them for awhile. Others look fine at first but an orange tint becomes apparent in different lighting.
I've had success w/ Clinique, BeneFit and Lancome but never had any luck w/ Prescriptives.
Maybelline Pure & True Illusion pressed powders have been okay.
For me the key is to find a foundation that doesn't change and looks good under sunlight. So I usually go to a dept. store or boutique to try it on and wear it for a couple of hours before purchasing it. I also try to stick w/ neutral foundations rather than warm foundations.

Are you using the wrong color? Or the cheapo stuff? It makes a big difference. If you can get to a makeup counter, ask for help and then buy eyeshadow or lipstick (this way you are not spending a boatload on the makeup) Then go to CVS and match it up. Hope this helps. Also remember to blend well with a sponge. And do not use tinted moisturizer or self tan AND the makeup. Good luck

You're wearing the wrong color for your skin tone. It could also be old and/or poor quality. Sometimes finding the right shade takes time and trial and error. Take a friend with you the next time to buy makeup so she can help you. Sometimes two heads are better than one, as they say. Good luck!

omg i used to have the same problem! it looked orange. i used this mary kay stuff. and i thought i liked it for a while until i noticed it wasn't complimenting me. lol. so i started using Loreal Visible Lift foundation. i really like it. its about $12.00, but it works really well and stays on. im not really suggesting u use the same foundation, but just try switching it up a little. maybe buy a few new foundations and see which ones u like best. good luck! hope i help :) ~em

Your makeup has an orange based tint, choose a makeup with a yellow base and you won't have that problem!

You might be putting a little too much on, or the make-up you chose wasn't that "good".
