the early part of their pregnancy? I know you can't menstruate during pregnancy, but I have heard of people who bleed heavily and don't realize they are pregnant. What about clots? And mild cramps that come with it, too? Anybody have some info on this?

Do they continue to be pregnant after experiencing this? Because I believe what you are describing is a miscarriage.

If it is you experiencing this, please go see your doctor asap.

it's entirely possible to menstruate during pregnancy. Heavy bleeding and clotting needs to be addressed by a doctor for many reasons.
Cramps are different, unless they are accompanying the heavy bleeding. I cramped at various times in the first trimester. It happened when I was stressed so I quit my job, but otherwise stayed active. Mild cramping in and of itself is not a problem.

First of all you CAN menstruate during a pregnancy, its rare but it does happen. Second if you are pregnant and are bleeding heavily with clots get to a Dr. ASAP. If this problem happens after sex you may have to adjust your position.
