Since angle 1 is complementry to angle 3 and angle 2 is also complementary, angle 1 and ange 2 must be equal to each other.
m1+m3=90 1 and 2 are complementary
m2 +m3=90 2 and 3 are complementary
Therefore, m1+m3=m2+m3
and, after subtracting m1 from both sides: m1=m2 definition of congruent angles.
