Muse, Nickelback, Seether, The Arcade Fire, Franz Ferdinand and Switchfoot are some of my favorite bands.
However, some lesser known bands: Within Temptation (power metal), Bond (an instrumental quartert), Hari Mata Hari (a great Bosnian band with the amazing song, "Lejla"), Zeljko Joksimovic (a Serbian singer with another amazing song, a love ballad called "Lane Moje"), and Nobuo Uematsu (a famous Japanese composer known for his work on the Final Fantasy series of games, such as Aeris' Theme and the One Winged Angel).
Any one of those bands provide a unique, but still superb music experience. If you are curious about any of them, feel free to ask =) happy music listening!
