those first few drops feel cold and you duck to avoid that cold feeling knowing it's useless. Just a gut reaction I guess.

i never saw anyone duck in the rain before. Maybe theyre all dumb in your part of town

I think it's more rain drops on your neck - it feels really cold and makes the rest of you colder! Just my theory....great question.
