WHY does everyone think it is OK to bash President Bush?? He is the leader of the free world. He's not a bad guy. I agree, he is not the most eloquent guy in the world, but who is? I can't think of any other president in history that has garnered more criticism, but many have done worse things. Why? And not just because he's a republican, that's not an answer.

I support our president! Bush haters, if you can do it better than become president yourself and fix it. Untill then kiss his bottom behind.

Bashing and criticism are not the same. People in a democracy should criticize their leaders it keeps them on their toes and reminds them who the leaders work for. When those leaders do wrong they need to be corrected or criticized. I don't care if he is the leader of the free world. That does not make him above the law. He thinks he should be above all law. He thinks the Constitution is a goddamn piece of paper. Is that what you call a good leader for this country?

There have been others criticized as much as he. John Tyler comes to mind as well as Andrew Johnson. In both their cases some of the criticism was earned some was not. In Bush's case it is all well deserved. There have been some who were liars (they are politicians, after all), some were arrogant, some corrupt, and others were incompetent but all of that rolled into one comes only with G.W. Bush.

His party has nothing to do with his being a rotten president. The last one we had at the very bottom was a Democrat and he held the title of worst for 148 years.

Usurping the Constitution has not been done by other Presidents. While they have done some things that may not have been desirable for one in their position GWB is the only who has openly expressed disdain for the law of the land.

To try to give a serious answer here:

I think that the Bush Bashing (and by bashing, I mean the real vitriolic stuff, nit just disagreeing with him or his party) is done by about 30% of the population. This is the "base" of the Democratic Party. This 30% would be bashing Bush regardless of the job that he was doing. You see the same on the right. 30% support Bush, and these 30% are the base of the Republican Party, and would support Bush regardless how much he screwed up.

As for why everyone believes it is OK to bash Bush, it is allowed as a freedom under the constitution. In fact, it is the responsibility of the governed to question the governors. Bashing, right or wrong, is a freedom that we all possess and can choose to use at anytime.

He just doesn't listen to people. He fired all of his generals that disagreed with him on going to Iraq. He probably had something to do with the CIA leak too because joseph wilson was against him too and guess what happened immediately after that....his wife's identity as a CIA agent was leaked. The democrats don't want to go after him because that will only make them look bad as a result. This is politics by the way. The Dems will be seen as vicious monsters out to get our president if they do that. Also, as every president does, he's spending way more that he is receiving as far as the national debt, but he is doing it way more than any other president has in decades. Also sending thousands of troops to get killed in battle is never a popular thing. Did you know that Iran is not the only country is the middle east supplying weapons to Iraq?? Saudia Arabia is also doing it along with many others. He hasn't made a big deal out of it because the Bush's have millions invested in Saudi Arabia because of the oil. True that every president has their faults, but this is too ridiculous.

Oh and one more thing

BUSH COULD CARE LESS ABOUT HURRICANE KATRINA. OH THE HUMANITY......OH THE HUMANITY INDEED!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any bashing he's received he's earned many times over. It's not about politics, but the very real and lasting damage that he's done to our nation, our nation's credibility and standing in the world, and to generations across the world and at home still to come.

I hate the ignorant, feckless, stubborn arrogance. Feel free to name anyone in the past 80 years who has done more damage and a worse job than Bush.

Why do you excuse him, just because he's a Republican?

What would it take for you to admit he's a monumental screw up? Letting his guard down and ignoring impending threats getting thousands killed while asleep at the switch? Not following through n response to that attack, and leaving the enemy as strong as before? Costing thousands of lives in pursuit of an aggressive invasion of a nation that did nothing to us? Costing thousands of more lives simply because he doesn't want to admit he's wrong. Wrecking and squandering the biggest surpluses in history, to give handouts to the wealthiest while ignoring those in need? Should we congratulate him on the great job he's done taking care of the Katrina victims and rebuilding New Orleans to it's former glory?

What will it take? Or do you get no-bid contract awards? Wake up and pull your head out of the sand. Everything the guy touches turns into total crap.

First Amendment, Freedom of Speech. He is not a leader of a free world(country). Bush deserves all the criticism that he gets. Every president endures harsh criticism, it's politics.

Top three reasons that I hate George W. Bush (out of hundreds):
1. He involved the U.S. in the endless quagmire known as Iraq, turning the largest budget surplus in history to the largest deficit in history: over 4 trillion dollars. This involvement also caused the deaths of several thousand American soldiers and hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqi's.
2. He ignores the problems going on in the rest of the world that aren't directly related to his interests, such as global warming and Genocide in Africa.
3. He infringed on Americans' right to privacy and free speech with the Patriot Act. This rape of the Bill of Rights is unconstitutional and should be punishable by impeachment.
It is no wonder everyone hates Bush-- he is ruining the country and the world.

Why does anyone think its alright to support him? Leader of the free world? that regard was held by almost every president until him, now most the world could care less what we think. And he is being criticized the most for good reason. And what president has done worse things?

I am editing this because I just read Kevin's answer above mine and had to comment. At least on my end, Iraq is not the reason I hate the guy, I could go on for a long time about the reasons but I will just put one down for now, DEBT.

We have all been hijacked by the true terrorists: the current Administration.

Everything that has happened since 9/11 has been such a facade it's sickening. I can't even believe this is happening in reality...you couldn't write stuff this unbelievable.

The threat of domestic terrorism is an "Imaginary Monster" which allows the government to do whatever they please without question...the Patriot Act, Homeland Security, the War on Terror.

We live in America and in America we have freedom of speech. If a guy is going to be a lousy president and drag us into a useless war for oil then we can bash him as much as we want. Over and over again bush has proved he is incompetent and basically unworthy of the position so many stupid voters gave him.

Bush started garnering all this hate during his debates in 2000 against Al Gore. It's not an exact science, but it seems to me that when he said his hero was Jesus Christ, all the hate mongers came out.

That's not to say that this country hate Christians, but once he said that, the flood gates opened. You notice that all this hate comes from the extreme left, which is the very vocal minority in the country. They control the media, press and the Fm airwaves, the vast majority of how the citizenry gets its information.

Remember in 2000 how the press reported Florida for Bush in 2000 before the votes were counted? They still have not gotten over that, despite the fact that recount after recount showed that Bush won.

Also consider this. The extreme left also controls many of the pollsters around the country. (So do some right-wingers) so you should never believe those polls you see on T.V. Because depending on how you phrase and word your questions, you can design a poll to get any result you want.

I don't profess to be an express, but these are things I have noticed. What else have I noticed.....

Despite Democrats claims the Gas Prices were a republican plot, the prices shot right back up after the election.

Democrats claim to want to give the troops everything they need in Iraq, yet refuse to approve them the emergencies funds without $20B in additional pork.

The list goes on and on.
