I do agree with you. I know a girl who is 18 and has had about 3 abortions. She uses other protection as well but keeps getting pregnant. Instead of taking the responsibility for her actions, she keep having abortions. I don't understand this at all and think that it is ridiculous.

Agreed as to why people believe it so fervently - that is beyond my understanding. The actual statistics paint a far different story and yet people cling to this belief that abortion is being used as birth control.
Nothing could be further from the truth. First, abortions are quite expensive whereas birth control is affordable. Secondly, 86% of all US counties do NOT have access to an abortion provider which means that most Women, including Women in rural areas, must travel great distances to obtain an abortion. Thirdly, they are given a birth control consultation before the abortion and are sent home with one or more months of birth control so that they can start it right away. Fourth, most states make use of title XX funding to pay for birth control for low income women. And last, if abortion were used as birth control, a woman could stand to have about 3 abortions a year but the actual statistics paint a far different picture.
The majority of Women who obtain an abortion WERE using some form of pregnancy protection. It is only a small minority who were on nothing or who were raped. So abortion for these Women was a last resort when whatever they were using failed them.

Yes, I agree that it would be far-fetched to assume that a woman would rather undergo an uncomfortable, expensive procedure every once in a while than take a pill every morning. However, there really are women out there who do that, particularly in other countries such as Cuba, where health care is absolutely free. I still think most women would rather take any precaution available, and that abortion truly is a last resort for a situation that otherwise seems hopeless.

Many people think that because some women do. I knew a girl in high school that had 5 abortions. She never used birth control aside from abortions.

It's those crazy Hard Core Christians/Pro-lifers that say these things.
There aren't that many women out there that actually do that on a consistant basis. Abortions are $500+ I think most people have enough sense to buy a $5 pack of condoms.

I agree but some women will do the deed but not want to accept the responsibility that comes with it and the women that do use abortion as a form of b/c normally dont pay for it they get the guy who got them pregnant to pay for the abortion. I know it is sad but true

abortion for whatever reason is wrong- There are women who do not use birth control and then get pregnant and have an abortion- then there are women who do use it and still get one. Those poor innocent children that cannot speak for themselves. When women keep getting pregnant and having abortions that should be proof enough that they care only for themselves. Sex with no responsibility. Not a good thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
One or multiple abortions- should never happen- there are thousands of couples awaiting baby's to adopt-

Sure it seems crazy. but some people never learn and keep getting pregnant and then use an abortion as a means of getting out of being pregnant.
You would think that after the first time of getting pregnant a woman would be more aware of the fact that she can get pregnant and take the proper precautions. You would think ....wouldn't ya

I see this happening to the younger girls more than the older ones. You will see girls getting pregnant at 15 and they don't quite understand the ramifications of what they are doing. Of course, I am sure it doesn't help that their boyfriends (impregnators, lets say) just tell them to: "take care of it". As soon as parents and educators start teaching our kids about sex, babies and abortions, we will see a lot of this happenind. The good news is that I agree with you. MOST women (not girls) would rather take birth control rather than get pregnant.

Absolutely!! I believe that if your gonna have abortions rather than use the pill, or have tubes tied that those people are extremely selfish and I hope they have a hard time dealing with the fact that they took a human life!! I only believe in abortion if it was a rape or incest!!
