Yes, you can buy a PC with Vista already installed. Other than on an Xbox or Vista PC there is no way to play Halo 2.

Sorry but you cant play Halo without an Xbox or PC. Personally I dont like Vista because of compatibility issues but once they work the bugs out I guess it will be fine. Make sure your pc can handle Vista before you install it. I went to Best Buy and a laptop with Vista Home Premium in their store was so underpowered it froze the second I moved the mouse. It only had 512MB of ram! You need at least 1GB! So watch out for things like that. You can find the system requirements for Vista on the page below in my sources. You can upgrade your system to meet them or just buy a new one if you have the money. Good Luck!

Well, if your computer can handle vista, its not a bad investment to install, and will be considerably cheaper than buying a new setup with it pre-installed. Businesses do, if you would prefer, sell them pre-installed with Vista, but once again, it will run you a whole lot more. Like over $500 more. depending on the price of the computer.

Most computers give you the option to buy the computer with vista. I think buying vista for halo is a wast of money. But if you gana get a new computer it should be able to come with vista.

You don't have to get vista when you get a new computer. Unless you buy it from a department store.
As for Halo 2, the only way to play it is on xbox or xbox360.

People love Halo 2, but they dislike it on the PC because of the controls are so different from usual first person shooter PC games. If he got used to the controls, I'm sure he would have a blast playing it.
