I feel that I've been overly blessed. That some angel has accidently spilled blessings, and I was the lucky one below. I've had a great life, no illnesses, am content with what I have and seek no greater thrill than reading before bedtime. I have no debt, desire nothing I can't pay cash for, and know that the best is ahead for me. I look around and see so much suffering, most of it voluntary. I just be quiet, and re-feel my great luck, over and over again.

Well, I do think that being too happy can sometimes lead to boredom. For instance, I am in kind of the same position as you, where I just feel incredibly blessed, like I'm leading a charmed life. Sometimes, though, that makes for a feeling of a lack of challenge in my life, like I have no goals to work toward because I feel really content with everything. When I start feeling that way, I just turn my attention to helping other people who may need something that I can provide for them. It may be money, it may be assistance at work, it might even just be a shoulder to cry on or a person to talk to, but whatever it is, I try to give it.

If you look back on your life, you will find that alot of what you call "luck" is just good decision making.
You deserve to be happy, because unlike most of the population, you didnt get greedy and buy more than you could afford. You didnt get addicted and develop a bad habit. You didnt eat things that would cause illness. or make yourself sick with worry.
You need to let people know, that none of this is luck. They can have the same great lifestyle if they would just excersize a little self control and to be moderate.

I guess it depends of what they have been through in life as a individual and what they have over come in life so any type of success or accomplishment big or small will make a person happy. But then again happiness is an inside job and some people don't allow their surroundings to dictate or take away their happiness.

good for you!!
it's great that you're in that situation, but as Ecclesiastes says "time and unforseen occurrence befall ALL men", so it's probably only a matter of time before your trophies fall off your shelf and land on your cat , or your new book at bedtime is just that little bit too heavy and your bed falls through the ceiling... bit negative that isn't it.. sorry, but you do right counting your blessings, you can NEVER be too happy in my opinion. share it out!

Well, if I knew you personally I probably wouldn't like you, just because it's hard for me to be around extremely positive people. But seriously, good for you for being so happy. You'll live longer and have a great life. But as for the rest of us curmudgeons, don't rub your eternal cheer in our faces: P

I do believe this story makes me a bit sick.
But to answer your question. Happiness is one of those things you can't have too much of.
Perhaps now it's time to share the wealth and spread that happiness to those who aren't so blessed.

Every person in this life try to be happy all time
but he or she can not win over god's decisions
so if a person is too happy throughout his or her life
then with the happiness should be thankful to god because
god make the decisions to keep the person happy or sad.
so it's only he himself can give the right answer of this question cuz he is experiencing

You are especially blessed, not just to have a good life and be happy but to know that you are blessed and happy. I hope you continue to be just as you are.

do you walk around with a really cheesey smile plastered to your face all the time? Yeah...thats too happy. Psychiatrists call it mania. The polar opposite of depression.

Good for you but to answer your initial question...yes! People who are happy and chipper and talkative at 6am are annoying to me. Then again, I get excited and talkative late at night and others find me annoying. lol
