I'm not mean to him. I don't believe in judging people without knowing him. I'm sure he's a nice person in real life.

He is the worst singer to make it to the top ten since the beginning of the show 6 years ago. His range is almost zero and he looks like a damn fool up there with all his wacky hair-dos. William Hung is a much better singer and performer than Sanjaya. He is a big joke. On MSNBC last week, there was actually a panel of experts trash talking about Sanjaya. That may seem a little cruel but the fact remains that so far 4 better singers have bit the dust and he still remains. I would pay a heavy fee to NOT hear him sing another not. For lack of better words ... HE SUCKS!!!

Not every one hates him, but he is being used by groups in the media to ruin the American Idol Show. It is the highest rated show of all time and the other networks are jealous. There is an active movement to call in votes for the worst performer, to wreck the show. Simon has said that if the worst singer wins this competition, he is quitting and many believe that will end the contest. Sanjaya is considered by some to be the worst, hence the problem.

Cuz he's a disappointment. When we saw him in the auditions, we saw a young singer with a raw talent and a sweet story. Him and his sister seemed to both be pretty great singers. Idol ended up taking Sanjaya over his sister Shyamali and he has been nothing but a flop since going to Hollywood. The only reason he hasn't been kicked off is because Howard Stern (whose legion of fans follow him like a king) is telling all his listeners to vote for Sanjaya to prove that American Idol is a farce. Looks like America's got themselves in a pickle... :o

I definitley don't hate him. He's not the best singer on AI and probably should of gotten voted off by now, but he seems like a nice kid in life. A lot of people probably don't hate him as a person but hate having 2 listen 2 him every week. It's a little hard 2 watch someone humiliate themselves in front of the live audience and all the viewers. He really does seem nice though!

I think there are more people being nice to him because they are keeping him on American Idol week after week. I think he'll probably be very sucessful when the show ends, even if he doesn't win. That kid knows what he's doing! Good luck to him, but Blake or Jordin to win. ;-)

Because he is a no-talent phony who is capitalizing on his appeal to the teeny-boppers to keep him in the contest. His voice is weak, his persona is effeminate, he has limited range and no stage presence. He should be in a boy band instead of a stand alone performer.

I don't hate him, people are just irritated because he should have been sent home a long time ago. But they're doing this for entertainment and it is certainly working.

Well I do dislike him...alot. I think its because the fact that he's not a very good singer and the way he always smiles. He is also very annoying. His fruitiness gets to me. But I haven't met anyone who likes him.
