108 find any pair of factors like 9 x 12

then find factors of 9 = 3 x 3 (3 is prime)
and factors of 12 = 6 x 2 ( 2 is prime)

finally factors of 6 = 3 x 2

so the prime factors are 3x3x3x2x2 or 3 cubed 2 squared I can't get supertext to write it using powers.

3 cube(which is 3 to the third power) times 2squared(which means 2 to the second power)

to check it would be 3*3*3*2*2=108 another way is 108/3 = 36
36/3 = 12
12 / 3 = 4
4 = 2
2 is prime.
Answer: 2² * 3³.
