Try Robert Frost first, my favorite
then Emily Dickinson, Edgar Allan Poe, Yeats, Longfellow and Langston Hughes ... you can't go wrong!

-Shakespeare--sonnets are especially good
-Tennyson--lots of narrative poems
-Wordsworth--some more good "story" poems
-Blake--religious and otherwise
-Walter de la Mare--very easy reading, and just WONDERFUL!
