Do you think she and her husband should go to jail for violating Hindu wedding customs? Do you think what they did was wrong?

No, she shouldn't. She should have known better, but going to jail for this would be absurd.

Besides, I am sure the local resident who filed the case and Nayar's father, who is supporting the plaintiff, only want a hefty out-of-court settlement.

Liz made money with a magazine deal and these guys are trying to make some money off her using Hinduism as an excuse.

3 years seems so extreme. I honestly don't know if what they did was wrong, it depends on if THEY thought it was wrong. To make a malicious mockery means they do it with the intent of being insulting. I don't think they did that to be honest.

I'm kinda hoping the poor girl gets out of it. She can't just go back to England?

Also I read emliizm's response, "who cares we're American" Well I think what bugs me so much about his is I don't think Elizabeth Hurley is Hindu. Elizabeth Hurley was born in Basingstoke, Hampshire, England in 1965. You have to wonder if part of the offense is the plan ole fact that she's Western. It seems all she was trying to do was honor her husband's way of life.

Hello, yeah!! I think she is just a celeb that thinks she can get away with anything. Your typical hollywood star thank is above the law. Just like Dog the bounty hunter, these people need to be locked up and have the key thrown away. Hope she gets 3 years of jail time.

i think that she should not, because to me she wasn't under any obligation to follow their wedding rites. The leather shoes though... Everyone knows that India is predominately Hindu, and you should look up customs before you go to a country and end up offending them.
