I would like to get contacts for next year. Are they comfortable? I am nervouse. Any tips or advice for theM??

I have worn contacts for 12 years and barely ever had a problem. You will have to try out different ones to make sure you get the right ones for you, but when you do they are comfortable any way better than wearing glasses.

They have an "adjustment period", and some people find them too uncomfortable. Are you squeamish about touching your eyeballs? Then they're not for you.
The biggest thing is commitment--if you can will yourself through the initial discomfort, you'll barely notice them. AND, you have to be SUPER clean, never ever touching the lenses or your eyes unless you thoroughly wash your hands!
Good luck--I've worn contacts since 1977, and they have improved in comfort a thousand percent from those days.

Contacts aren't for everyone...still if you hate the hassle of glasses(I DO!!!) then contacts may be for you... make sure you have the time to put them in, at first it's hard, but soon you'll get the hang of it..And change your solution every day so you won't get an infection or something.GOOD LUCK!

Let your eye doctor know so he/she can take extra time to go over how to care for your lenses, etc.
If you are given a session w/ an assistant to practice inserting and removing your lessons, take your time and practice until your are comfortable. Don't pressure yourself and leave thinking you should just go home and figure it out.
Biomedic & Accuvue have been good, soft contact lens brands for me.
Multi-purpose solutions dried my eyes so I finally switched to AOSept.

when you frist get them they aint that comfortable you can really feel them but u will get use to them
